United States Department of Energy
The Department of Energy manages a wide range of issues dealing with energy including efficiency, sources, environmental impacts, health, safety, security, and prices.  The DOE has information on the different energy sources used in the U.S. from the traditional fossil fuels to renewable sources like wind, solar, and nuclear power. 

United States Environmental Protection Agency – Clean Energy
EPA’s Clean Energy Programs are working with state policy makers, electric and gas utilities, energy customers, and other key stakeholders. By identifying, designing and implementing clean energy policy and technology solutions, we are delivering important environmental and economic benefits.

New York Energy $mart
The New York Energy $mart program is designed to continue energy efficiency, low-income services, research and development, and environmental protection programs during the State’s transition to electric retail competition, and is a key element in the restructuring of New York State’s electric utility industry.  The site includes a variety of energy conservation steps you can take in your home.

Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative
The Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative, begun by then NYS Governor Pataki, is a cooperative effort by nine Northeast and Mid-Atlantic States to discuss the design of a regional cap and trade program initially covering carbon dioxide emissions from power plants in the region.

The Center for Social Inclusion identifies causes of racial inequity growing out of  public policy.  CSI develops ideas, supports grass roots leaders and moves public will to promote structural transformation through public policy, sowing seeds of racial, gender and class equity for all.

Environmental Defense
Environmental Defense is dedicated to protecting the environmental rights of all people, including the right to clean air, clean water, healthy food and flourishing ecosystems. American Wind Energy Association
The American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) is a trade and advocacy organization based in Washington, D.C.  AWEA represents the U.S. wind energy industry and individuals who support clean energy in the Legislative/Regulatory, Public Relations, and International arenas.
